There are a ton of options out there - anybody who's tried more than one have a recommendation on what the best OM and slope dread plans (for the money, I should add)out there are? I know several have highly recommended the OLF OM plan, but I'd like to get feedback from those who have tried others. Thanks, Andrew Wright Managua, Nicaragua |

I recommend the OLF OM it is the best set on the market. All full scale. Very detailed and has optional back X-bracing pattern as well as conventional ladder bracing. The guy that did these is Brilliant. Shameless Self promotion ![]() ![]() ![]() Besides you will help support the forum ![]() ![]() |

I have the Antes plan as well. OK, but there`s a few things I`ve had to write in on the plan, mainly calculations and specs. |

I've never built one, but there is an OM style plan in/with the Kinkead book on guitar making. I've read some positive comments from those who have built from it. It certainly 'looks nice', IMO. And the book is nicely done as well, with some interesting tips & techniques. CrowDuck |

Andrew, There is a guy on ebay (pilgrimsprojects) who sells Martin-style plans. His prices are low and he will ship internationally. The only thing I've bought from him is a set of baritone uke plans and they were good and well worth the price paid. Regarding the other part of your question about slope dread plans... I could be wrong, but I don't think there are any out there on the marketplace right now. However, John Hall of Blues Creek Guitars could supply you with full-scale slope dread drawings and enough info to build one. John knows a lot about Martins and he helped me with some basic drawings I needed to build a new body for an old 0-17 model neck I had. |

As you may have seen, there's an OLF plan in the works based on the Gibson Advanced Jumbo, which is really a slope-shoulder dread.--many say the best ever designed. It might be worth the wait. |

Didn't realize one was on the way...any idea how long I'll be waiting? Thanks for the input! Looks like the OLF plan gets the nod at this point though it's a bit pricier than the other options out there. Andrew |

not to hijack the thread but does anyone know of a good place to get smaller Martin plans - "0", "00", or "000"? You can PM me with the suggestions if you like. So as not to somp on the thread here. Cheers Charliewood |
